The public transport system in Cape Town is probably one of the best in the country. Cabs, minibuses, trains and buses run regularly throughout the city, reaching most areas.  Public transport plays an invaluable part of the city’s day to day workings, ensuring that almost four million people are able to get to work, school, or any other activities that they may need to partake in on a regular basis. The system is designed to make getting around Cape Town as easy, hassle-fee and as cost effective as possible. Train lines run to all suburban areas, and extend as far as the Winelands, an area just outside of the city, while minibus taxis can be hailed from almost anywhere at any time of the day.
